This PCB was designed to accomplish a vision. What was the vision? The vision was to illuminate a living room and add kinetic energy to the ambience. The vision became reality with this PCB. Check out the living room video.

This breakout board uses the Texas Instrument's TLC5940. The TLC5940 is an integrated circuit that makes controlling many LEDs fun. This chip has it all: 16 channels, 12 bit grayscale PWM control, dot correction, high drive current, and a serial interface. This PCB product can be populated with three of the TLC5940 ICs for use as a red, green, blue LED controller.

As mentioned, the living room display was constructed of two of the these PCBs, plus a Propeller Proto Board as the master controller.

This product is for the PCB only, you will have to supply the components to populate the PCB such as the screw terminal blocks, 0.1" headers and TLC5940 integrated circuits. See the Bill of Materials on the right for specifics.
