3.0" LCD and driver PCBA

Look what we have here! This is a 3.0" digital TFT LCD with a resolution of 320x240. The LCD is back light with LEDs and the viewing display area of the screen is 6cm by 4.5cm. For more technical details of the display please check out the datasheet on the right.

Now, what would a standard TFT digital display be good for? Unless you are really into embedded electronics a display like this isn't much good as it can get pretty involved creating the necessary circuitry and code to driver the display. So, to try and remove the complexity, yet provide an elegant looking display, we have sourced a composite video driver board that mates with the LCD. That is right, attach the display to the driver board, apply power to the driver board (5.0V DC) and attach a composite video signal and you have a miniature video display. The composite video signal can be PAL or NTSC.

We prefer to use the display in our microcontroller projects, especially with the Parallax Propeller because it is so easy to generate video signals with it! Check out the Parallax forums for projects that users are creating with the display. Of course you can also connect other devices that have a composite output such as video cameras/CCTV or DVD players.

Each purchase will include one 3.0" LCD, one driver board and one cable. One end of the cable mates with the four pin connector on the driver board and the other end had a DC barrel jack and a composite signal jack. Check out our video of this product.
